Vietnam, 9 July 2008 ¨C MTA Vietnam2008, the largest manufacturing solutions event in Vietnam, opens today for its fourth showing from 9 to 12 July at the Giang Vo Exhibition Centre (VEFAC) in Hanoi. This is MTA Vietnam's fourth edition since it first launched in 2005.
Vietnam's Largest Manufacturing Solutions Event
MTA Vietnam's entry into Hanoi was made possible by the strong support from the growing number of regional and international exhibitors participating in MTA Vietnam as well as the continued backing by government partners.
Vietnam's manufacturing sectors are actively gearing up in order to meet the influx of demands for manufacturing solutions. MTA Vietnam, now in two key Vietnam cities, is ready to play a key role in this growth by offering the industry an even bigger platform to source for the latest high quality technologies, solutions and tools available in the global market.
Strong International Appeal
More than 382 exhibiting companies, of which 80 percent are from overseas, from 25 country/regions will occupy the exhibition halls, and eight international group pavilions represented by Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan.
Singapore occupies the largest pavilion area with 40 companies spread across nearly 600 square metres, including key brands like Agie Charmilles, Okamoto, Optical Gaging, Sutton Tools and Euromac, as well as Singapore homegrown manufacturers Lek Hung Moulding, Microcast, Index Precision Industries, Riken Engineering, and many more.
For the first time in Vietnam, a German group pavilion coordinated by the German Federal Government and the VDW-German Machine Tool Builders' Association is participating at the show to demonstrate German machine tool technologies. A total of 15 German exhibiting companies are hosted under this pavilion, including well-known industry names like TRUMPF, SIEMENS, G¨šEHRING and DMG.
Reputable Industry Leaders
Aside from the group pavilions, individual manufacturing giants like Iscar, Mitsubishi Carbide, Kyocera, Mori Seiki, Nikon, Leeport, Hexagon Metrology, Amada and Carl Zeiss are present to offer visitors a broad range of latest technologies available in metal-cutting, sheet metal-cutting and metal-forming, cutting tools, test & measurement, and industrial tools & component that serve to cut costs while simultaneously boost business profit, productivity and efficiency.
Prominent Vietnamese direct exhibiting companies at the show include BK Mech, Siemens Vietnam, MT Scientific Equipment, Weldtec, Mico Group, Nhat Viet Tinh Joint Stock Company, Vietcad and Tan Thanh.
New Entrants
Visitors will see several brands participating for the first time, including Amada from Japan and DMG from Germany. Amada is engaged in the principal business of manufacturing and sales of sheet metal processing machinery, bandsaws, presses and machine tools, Takamaz is a manufacturer and distributor of machine tools, and DMG is Germany's leading machine tool manufacturer.
MTA Vietnam2008 Manufacturing Conference
In synergy with the exhibition, the MTA Vietnam2008 Manufacturing Conference will focus on the latest technologies in the fields of automotive and electronic manufacturing. This two-day conference will provide a comprehensive overview of the Automotive and Electronic market trends, Technical Development and Applications and is aimed to equip parts and component manufacturers with the latest in technologies, materials and processes.
