The Dominant Event in Vietnam’s Manufacturing Industry

Held at a brand new venue; Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, MTA VIETNAM2009 gave visitors a whole new experience for Vietnam’s manufacturing industries.

Exhibition

MTA VIETNAM2009’s statistics:

Ho Chi Minh City ranks 2nd in Vietnam’s FDI attraction (Vietnam Business Forum, VCCI, July 10th 2009). Recognizing this trend, MTA VIETNAM2009 brought to International and Vietnamese exhibiting companies the ideal platform to meet potential trade buyers.

Seeing was indeed believing. Visitors witnessed many latest innovations such as 3D printing machines, laser machines, threading and boring machines, die-casting machines and many more New products, New services, First Time in Asia and Launches in Vietnam which were on display by leaders of the machine and tools industry.

Star International Attractions

Global manufacturing companies have made great contributions to Vietnam’s industrial section, especially in Ho Chi Minh City in terms of bringing in modern technology, skilled workers and improving infrastructures, just to list a few (Vietnam Business Forum – VCCI, July 7th 2009). International companies are actively exploring investment opportunities in Vietnam, while Ho Chi Minh City welcomes big groups to come. MTA VIETNAM2009 was pleased to be able to bring nine international group pavilions from Germany, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand who wanted to intensify their business presence in the country.

Addressing the Economic Woes

As the world economy recession affects businesses around the world, the Vietnam government plans to offer loans to businesses in order to stimulate economic growth (Vietnam Business Forum – VCCI, July 22nd 2009 & July 2nd 2009). With the government’s involvement in restructuring its economy, tapping into local talents to attract domestic and international investments is vital for investment opportunities (Vietnam Business Forum – VCCI, May 27th 2009).

Addressing these issues, MTA VIETNAM2009 brought in the following banks to assist in any finance enquires and to offer their services on loans and credit facilities:

  • Vietinbank (Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade)
  • Techcombank (Technology and Commercial Bank)
  • VIBank (Vietnam International Bank)

MTA VIETNAM2009 also featured technological and skills application training courses for Vietnam’s manufacturing industry through its Skills Development Center. Participating universities and college were Sai Gon Technology University, Nguyen Tat Thanh College and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

MTA VIETNAM2009 is still the ideal platform where international and local companies meet relevant key buyers, establish quality contacts and form potential business opportunities.
