Event Highlights: Hands-on Demonstrations of Welding Technology and Industrial Robots
A major attraction of the Beyond Welding seminar was the live demonstration area, where attendees could observe first-hand the performance and real-world application potential of advanced welding and robotic technologies.
1. Fanuc Industrial Robots – Flexible Automation Solutions
At the demo area, Fanuc showcased:
ArcMate100iD welding robot – high-speed performance suitable for mass-production lines.
CRX-10iA/L collaborative robot – safe, user-friendly, and ideal for flexible manufacturing environments.
These robots were integrated with Fronius welding systems, optimizing precision, weld quality, and minimizing defects during production.
2. Advanced Welding Technologies from Fronius (Austria)
Fronius presented a lineup of next-generation equipment, including:
Fortis welding machine series
iWave300i & iWave230i digital TIG welding systems
CMT – Cold Metal Transfer technology, known for its near-zero spatter capability
These solutions aim to enhance productivity, weld stability, and energy efficiency in modern factories.
3. Hands-on Experience & Technical Interaction
Attendees had the opportunity to directly participate in:
Manual welding using Fortis + iWave systems
Robotic welding with Fanuc ArcMate + Fronius TPS/i
On-demand welding using samples provided by participating companies
Technical discussion and consultation with experts during the Q&A session
These activities provided highly practical insights, helping manufacturers visualize how advanced welding and robotics solutions can be applied within their own production environments.
Automated Welding: A Key Driver in Strengthening Manufacturing Capabilities
As Vietnam’s manufacturing sector undergoes rapid transformation, welding automation is increasingly recognized as a critical factor for:
Optimizing operational costs
Improving product quality
Enhancing workplace safety
Meeting large-scale production requirements
Experts from Fronius, Fanuc, and HAMEE emphasized that robotic welding will play a central role in Vietnam’s transition toward smart factories.
